Mixologist Magazine
Page layout, desktop & mobile prototypes

The goal of this project was to explore editorial design (both print and digital) by creating our own magazine piece. Since I have worked in the liquor industry, I wanted to tap into my knowledge of local spirits. Hence, Mixologist was born, an editorial focused on distilling in the PNW.

My design concept was relatively simple: create a clean look that focuses on an asymmetric layout, where color can be changed per issue. For this issue, the color was taken from Mr. Pickles' fur (the pit bull). For the Mixologist digital prototypes, a black and white format was chosen to keep the content neutral and open to change. These pages are intended to be part of a larger trade publication.
