FOG Horror Fiction
Book Layout, Print Design, Branding
FOG was a project inspired by my love of pulpy horror memorabilia and scary stories. I collected short stories from online creepypastas and gave them mini-novel treatment.
The book was typeset to Garamond with breathy margins and spacing for sophisticated readability. Title pages utilize type illustration to capture a vision of the essence of the following story. The branding elements are intended to be accessible with subtle nods toward 1980s VHS horror films. It was important to focus on accessibility to a wider audience because everyone can appreciate short stories to take on the go. Finally, the brand was developed further with a few collateral items and campaign ideas reflecting the pulpy vibe.
