CHVRN - Delirium & Cold Sun

CHVRN is a Russian witch house artist. Within this fascinating genre of music there are reoccurring themes of photos of "mysterious and strong" women in the imagery. I wanted to take the essence of that theme and riff on it.
I wanted to represent these women as equally strong and emotive as they are mysterious. Pushing further I played with figure-ground relationships and continuation as a way of making the layouts dynamic.
Since Delirium and Cold Sun are companion pieces, I consider them one project. While my choices were intended to push myself out of my comfort-zone regarding content and style, they remain some of my personal favorite pieces.
